What Theme? Which Way Should The Style Go?

Between others, one of my AD gigs was at Sid Patterson Advertising, a cool advertising agency on Madison Ave. in New York City, where I designed several newspaper ad campaign layouts for multiple car dealerships mainly among others, created illustrations and directed production of camera ready ads for major newspapers, magazines and diverse promotional materials. I also translated and recorded voice over bilingual audio tapes, produced storyboards for future TV commercials and created digital animatics to be turned into animated TV commercials.

WEBSITE DESIGN

I have designed independently several websites

Years ago when the internet was starting to grow I decided to study some basic programming to learn how to do websites. Thru the years I've learned more besides basic programming, including some vector animation for the web (Flash). Mostly I have designed and programmed static/showcase websites but if more is needed, we can find a way do it as well :) Below, a few home pages of some of my websites

Communicate Services or Ideas by Printing Them

Over the years I have designed plenty of print media, from newspaper ads to small brochures to complete magazines, catalogs and newspapers. I started doing "paste-ups", using Letraset and drawing and tracing mechanicals by hand. Later came bulky computers to do just text blocks. Nowadays a job that back then would have taken weeks can be done in hours. I have done plenty of that as well. Below are samples of a few of my catalogs, newspapers, magazines, brochures, ads etc. If you need to design from business cards to a whole book I can help :)

ILLUSTRATION

Painting & Drawing makes you happy

Since I can remember I've liked to draw. My early childhood drawings showed the same attention to detail I have now, while later my school notebooks had the back pages full of sketches. The desire to communicate graphically what I saw later in life helped me make a living and is what motivated me to follow an artistic career. Professionally I've illustrated many projects, brochures, books, magazines, newspaper ads and more but probably the most significative so far was illustrating and designing thousands of international official postage stamps for tens of countries thru Inter-Governmental Phillatellic Corp. in New York City covering all kinds of themes along the years

PHOTOGRAPHY

Capture The Moment

During my professional studies I was able to look a bit more in deep into the art of photography. After photography was invented, painting went abstract, and after photography was explored it is also used to do art, besides other practical applications. I've done some artistic and advertising photography, mostly product shots and model in my studio. Photography can be mixed with computer work, resulting in a great way to illustrate digitally as well.

Creative Work Can Be All Over

Besides the "standard" techniques associated with design and advertising I've worked doing other projects as requiered that included store displays, murals, signange, backdrops for TV commercials or theatrical presentations, packaging design, articles design and so on. It's always fun to bring ideas to life, either personal or commisioned by customers
